The Events Manager and Museum Operations position is a dynamic role responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing a wide range of internal and external events while ensuring exceptional visitor experiences at the museum. Key Responsibilities

Event Management and Execution

  • Conceptualize, plan, and execute 4–5 signature events annually
  • Manage and support approximately 50 internal and external events per year
  • Serve as lead manager for multiple high-profile events
  • Oversee vendor coordination, venue setup, and contract negotiations
  • Manage external event clients and contractors
  • Coordinate speaker travel, logistics, security walkthroughs, and advance teams
  • Secure and manage catering services for events
  • Plan, calendar, and track event communications in coordination with development and communications teams
  • Assist in the execution of diplomatic visits involving embassies, delegations, and foreign dignitaries
  • Analyze event data and prepare after-action reports
  • Design and print event promotional materials and programs

Museum & Exhibition Management

Museum Operations

  • Oversee building and facilities management
  • Supervise staff offices, security, and housekeeping operations
  • Manage audiovisual systems for exhibits and event technology
  • Coordinate vendors and contractors to ensure delivery of contracted services
  • Supervise staff and interns, including training and daily oversight

Museum Exhibitions

  • Assist in the design, research, and installation of temporary exhibitions
  • Manage exhibition curation, installation, and related public events
  • Develop coalitions, partnerships, and educational initiatives aligned with exhibitions

Visitor Experience and Administrative Support

  • Contribute to the development of educational programs

Qualifications & Experience
