Overview

TIMEP Nonresident Fellowship 2026–2027 is a flagship program designed to empower young and mid-career professionals whose work contributes to more just and accountable societies across the Middle East and North Africa. Through this fellowship, TIMEP creates a dedicated space for localized expertise, ensuring that policy discussions and advocacy efforts are grounded in lived realities and on-the-ground developments.

The 2026–2027 cohort will include up to 12 nonresident fellows with backgrounds in advocacy, research, journalism, or law. Fellows will design and implement an original mandate—a combination of a thematic focus and a geographic scope—that aligns with TIMEP’s mission and strategic priorities. Rather than traditional academic research, the fellowship emphasizes solutions-oriented analysis, public-facing policy work, and media engagement.

Fellows benefit from personalized skills development, close collaboration with peers across the region, and direct integration into TIMEP’s global and regional networks. By the end of the fellowship, participants are expected to have meaningfully contributed to policy discourse through publications, events, and media engagement—strengthening both their professional profile and regional impact.
