Overview

The NetSec Summer School 2026 aims to foster the next generation of scholars specialising in European and international security. The initiative supports academic excellence across Europe by creating a structured environment for mentorship, peer exchange, and professional development.

Held at Stockholm University in June 2026, the programme precedes the European Security Conference, giving participants direct exposure to high-level discussions and policy debates.

The NetSec Summer School 2026 offers:

  • Research presentations by participants
  • Individualised feedback from senior scholars
  • Mentorship activities
  • Networking with leading experts in strategic and security studies

Participants will have the opportunity to present work in progress—whether it is a dissertation chapter, conference paper, policy memo, or draft article—and receive detailed, constructive feedback in a supportive academic setting.

This is more than a short academic workshop; the NetSec Summer School 2026 is designed to build long-term academic networks and strengthen scholarly collaboration across Europe and beyond.
