Overview

The Youth4Rights Advisory Group 2026 will be established under the Global Alliance for Human Rights, an ambitious initiative designed to strengthen global commitment to human rights and prepare for the 80th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in 2028.

The Global Alliance aims to connect individuals, organizations, governments, and communities to advance human rights through collaboration, dialogue, and action. Young people are considered key partners in this mission, bringing innovative ideas, local knowledge, and fresh perspectives to global challenges.

To ensure meaningful youth participation, twelve young leaders from different regions and backgrounds will be selected to join the Youth4Rights Advisory Group.

Members will contribute to the development and implementation of Global Alliance activities while representing youth voices in international human rights discussions.

Responsibilities of Advisory Group Members

Selected members will:

  • Contribute to the design and implementation of Global Alliance initiatives
  • Support monitoring and evaluation activities

Youth4Rights Advisory Group 2026 Eligibility

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

Age Requirement

  • Be between 18 and 28 years old as of 12 August 2026.

Experience Requirement

  • Have at least two years of experience contributing to human rights or related causes at the local, national, or international level.

Language Requirement

  • Possess working-level proficiency in English.
