Overview
The Arab American Leadership Program 2026 is the only fellowship of its kind created to increase Arab American representation in public service, empowering young leaders to influence policies that affect their communities. Since launching in 2021, AALP has placed 27 students in 24 offices and achieved a 600% rise in applications, demonstrating the strong demand for civic leadership pathways.
AALP fellows gain firsthand experience with government operations and policymaking, including insights into legislative processes and public policy development. Fellows also benefit from networking, mentorship, and professional development workshops—essential tools for advancing careers in public service.
Career Impact & Alumni Network
Beyond the summer placement, the Arab American Leadership Program 2026 offers fellows long-term career value through its growing alumni network and mentorship ecosystem. Alumni remain connected to policymakers, civic leaders, and nonprofit professionals across the United States, creating pathways to future roles in government, advocacy, and public affairs. Fellows also gain visibility within Arab American civic institutions and access to continued leadership development opportunities after the fellowship ends. This sustained support helps participants translate their summer experience into meaningful, long-term public service careers.
