The European Master in Earthen Architecture and Construction (TERRA) is a one-year Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s programme designed to train future professionals in sustainable earthen building and heritage conservation. TERRA combines academic excellence, mobility across four partner universities, and a double degree award upon graduation.

Students will gain interdisciplinary expertise in earthen architecture, materials science, structural analysis, functional design, and sustainable construction as part of a programme that bridges architecture and civil engineering. In addition to its strong academic foundation, the Master in Earthen Architecture and Construction Scholarship 2026 places a special emphasis on hands-on learning, applied research, and real-world construction challenges. Students will actively engage in laboratories, workshops, and fieldwork focused on earthen materials, traditional building techniques, and innovative sustainable construction solutions adapted to contemporary needs.

The programme responds to growing global demand for climate-resilient, low-carbon, and locally sourced building methods, making graduates highly competitive in international job markets. Throughout the programme, participants collaborate closely with leading researchers, architects, and engineers from multiple European institutions, gaining exposure to diverse academic cultures and construction practices.

Graduates of the Master in Earthen Architecture and Construction are well-prepared for careers in sustainable architecture, heritage conservation, green construction, research, and international development projects.
