PhD Study Opportunities in Italy 2026 are offered within the framework of the Italy–Azerbaijan University initiative, strengthening academic cooperation between ADA University and three of Italy’s most prestigious universities: the University of Bologna (UniBo), Politecnico di Milano (PoliMi), and Politecnico di Torino (PoliTo).
This initiative aims to nurture a new generation of highly qualified Azerbaijani scholars by enabling them to conduct advanced doctoral research in Italy’s world-class academic environment. The program is strategically aligned with ADA University’s long-term faculty development and research priorities.
Selected candidates will first be pre-selected by ADA University and then formally apply to PhD programs at the Italian partner universities. Research areas span agriculture and food sciences, architecture and design, and advanced engineering and technology disciplines.
Eligibility
Applicants for PhD Study Opportunities in Italy 2026 must meet the following criteria:
- Citizenship of the Republic of Azerbaijan
- A relevant master’s degree (or final-year master’s student)
- English proficiency (minimum IELTS 6.5 or equivalent)

Application Details
The application process for PhD Study Opportunities in Italy 2026 consists of several stages:
Stage 1: Pre-selection by ADA University
