Eligibility

To qualify for the DOST SEI Foreign Graduate Scholarship 2026, applicants must:

1. Be a Filipino citizen.
2. Be within the first five years of their research career (from date of bachelor’s degree).
3. Be not more than 50 years old at the time of application.
4. Be a permanent or regular employee in a private or government institution/office in the Philippines.
5. Be endorsed by the Head of the Sending Institution/Office.
6. Have research interests aligned with DOST’s identified priority areas under HNRDA.
7. Have a viable re-entry plan endorsed by their institution.
8. Be in good health condition.
9. Pass admission requirements of a reputable foreign university.
10. Have a proposed budget not exceeding Php 3,000,000 per academic year.
11. Pass the interview and screening procedures.

Important: Applicants who have already started their studies abroad before application are not eligible.
